<p>Skilled technical work in the City's fire department in the field of fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical services. Work is performed under the general direction of a superior officer.</p>

Salary Information:
• 14-Step Pay Plan
• Firefighter/Paramedic - $57,615
• Experience pay available up to $65,738 for relevant firefighter or Pinellas County Paramedic certification
Additional Incentives Provided:
• Apparatus Operator $100/Month
• Fire Officer 1 Certification $50/Month
• Fire Safety Inspector 1 Certification $25/Month
Educational & Technical Requirements
<p>• High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.</p><p>Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:</p><p>• Florida Certification as a Firefighter II by F.S.S 633 (certificate of compliance)<br>• Florida certification as a Paramedic<br>• Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and CPR instruction certification.<br>• Valid Florida Driver’s License<br>• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (paramedic) Documentation of successful CPAT<br>Non-tobacco user for 1 year prior to employment and throughout employment</p><p>Preference will be given to dually certified Firefighter/Paramedic, although, consideration will be given to applicants with the following circumstances:</p><p>• Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT currently in Paramedic school <br>• Florida State Certified Paramedic currently in the Fire Academy<br>• Florida State Certified Paramedic seeking Fire Academy sponsorship<br> </p>
