Job Description
<p>Skilled technical work in the City's fire department in the field of fire suppression, prevention and emergency medical services. Work is performed under the general direction of a superior officer.</p>

Preference will be given to dually certified Firefighter/Paramedic, although, consideration will be given to applicants with the following circumstances:
• Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT currently in Paramedic school
• Florida State Certified Paramedic currently in the Fire Academy
• Florida State Certified Paramedic seeking Fire Academy sponsorship
• 14-Step Pay Plan
• Firefighter/Paramedic - $65,209
• Experience pay available up to $72,542 for relevant firefighter or Pinellas County Paramedic certification
Educational & Technical Requirements
<p style="text-align:justify;">High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">State of Florida and Pinellas County Paramedic Certification. </p><p style="text-align:justify;">State of Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance as authorized by F.S.S. 633.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and CPR instruction certification.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Must possess a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License.</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Must be able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Clearance under the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification.</p>
