<p>Advanced, skilled technical and administrative work in the City’s Fire Department. Work involves the responsibility for participating in the organization, planning, directing, coordinating, and supervision of all assigned programs. The position is a confidential, managerial, professional, administrative, and technical position within the department’s organizational structure. Assumes the responsibility and administrative management for all personnel regarding assigned division(s), or part thereof. This is a 40-hour work week exempt administrative position. Work is performed under the direction of the Fire Chief. Serves as a member of the Fire Chief’s senior staff.</p>

Educational & Technical Requirements

<p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in EMS or Fire Science is preferred.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida Firefighter certificate of Compliance as authorized by F.S.S. 633.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic (Paramedic required for EMS Coordination job duties).<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pinellas County certification as an EMT or Paramedic (Paramedic required for EMS Coordination job duties).<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida Fire Officer I.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida State Fire Inspector I.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida Fire Service Instructor I.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ICS 100/200/300/400/700/800.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;16-hour Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT).<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Florida Live Fire Training Instructor Certification (If assigned training division job duties).<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Must be able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Clearance under the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p>
